You may or may not know that I am a massive fan of Christmas24. If you’ve been hiding under a pile of tinsel you’ll know this is the digital Movies 24 channel that shows back-to-back films all day, every day.
I understand for some people the thought of a constant stream of festive films is like hell on earth. But, for me it is heaven on Christmasland.
I admit I’ve been watching a lot of Christmas24 – and believe me I haven’t been sat on the sofa eating tins of chocolates – no such luck! No, I just have it on in the background while working, wrapping gifts, writing cards in fact it’s my not-so secret guilty December pleasure.
Yes, I love a cheesy movie with some good old-fashioned holiday spirit shoved down your throat. Yes, I know everyone is called Holly, Ivy, Faith, Noah, Nick, Chris or some such. Yes, I know most are based around finding love, yourself or your Christmas spirit. And, yes I know that most of the stories aren’t new ones.
In fact I’ve been watching so much a bit of Christmas24 lately – that its lead me to notice that the stories really aren’t new ones! I mean why not take a classic movie storyline add some trees, a snowy sleepy town, Santa, the odd single/divorced/widowed star and a whole lot of festive cheer? You’ll bound to have a (made for TV) Christmas Cracker on your hands…
So, I present to you my Christmas24 Movie Match-Up – movies you may have seen before given a festive makeover.
** If you find yourself with some free time over the next few weeks then I suggest you take a little look at Christmas24 (known as Movies24 all year round) on Virgin channel 419, Sky channel 327 and BT Channel 513 – sit back relax and ENJOY! (Christmas 24 ends on Jan 7)
