Welcome to #mamamondays. Here I try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you too – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really is making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…
BATHING
Last month saw us all heading to Greece for my little sisters wedding. Miss Marnie was a flower girl – and did us all proud. Before I went the lovely people at Korres sent me some products to try – why? because you can’t go to Greece and not use Korres.
Korres IS Greece. The beauty brand has been famed for its natural, herbal scents and homeopathic products for over 20 years. I tried the Santorini Vine Shower Gel and the anti-ageing Body Oil both with a fresh, fruity lingering scent of greek vineyards – or, as I like to refer to it ‘a holiday a bottle’. I love the fact the scent is refreshing without being overly sickly.
I think planning the holiday to Greece set me on an a greek tangent as I also treated Miss M and myself to these matching tile print summer pieces from Next – as they sort of reminded me of greek flooring and colourings.
Anyhow, you can pick up Korres here and online of course – but if you find yourself on the Grecian isles then grab as much as you can from the local pharmacies (don’t you love a foreign chemist?) as it’s significantly cheaper. I mean it really wasn’t me who spent over 100€ on the stuff and nearly busted our luggage weight, was it? To be fair I picked up LOADS for the whole family.
PARTYING
I love nothing better than a party theme. And, one of my faves is a rainbow birthday party.
So, for one of Miss M’s friends we had a mini Rainbow tea party – it was part of a bigger party celebrating my friends 40th so wasn’t to my usual elaborate (read: over-the-top) standards – although, I am saving myself that for Miss M 5th birthday next month which is circus themed.
Either way a party shop I just love – and find it very hard not to lose hours on searching for every last detail – is Little Lulubel. This one-stop party shop offers everything from table settings to party bags and dressing up to cake decorations. I literally don’t shop anywhere else come party time – if its not on Little Lulubel it’s not worth having.
There is also a ready prepared party kit section where from £36 you can get everything you need for a part for 8+ children all in one box – stress and hassle free or what?
Here’s a little glimpse of our tea party and my pick of the best pieces to throw a rainbow and sunshine party (I mean seriously how cute are the sun plates and cloud napkins? Almost wasted on the kids…ha ha)

WATCHING
We’ve just starting watching Ozark on Netflix. And, so far so good.
I really wasn’t sure what it meant at first – I assumed it was some sci-fi type show from the title but was pleased to realise it wasn’t.
Also, once I had seen a trailer and spotted that Laura Linney (who is never not good) was in it – who I have loved her since I first saw her in the Tales of the City series and more recently in The Big C – I knew it was going to be very much worth a watch.
Ozark is actually a highland region of central America and the Ozark lakes are referred to as the ‘redneck Rivera’ – which may explain some of the trailer trash characters! I do love an American show and it nice to see a not so glossy one for a change.
Although, hello beautiful lake house – I would live there with Buddy in the basement just for those views too…
