On #mamamondays I always try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…
This year Miss Marnie is appearing in her first nativity. I’m not sure who’s more excited about this – her or me. I literally cannot wait to see her with her pre-school classmates in the story of Christmas.
When the letter came home I secretly was hoping she was going to be an angel – but it was not to be – Miss M is going to be one of the three wise men. Miss M however isn’t at all bothered as she has been singing ‘Away in a Manger’ literally from morning till night and generally excited about the whole thing.
My concern of course was her costume. As much as I would love to hit up Pinterest and make her an outfit – the reality is picking up a ready-made one is what I’ve done for ease. And, I have managed to pick up a brilliant King outfit from George at Asda.
In fact George at Asda has nativity costumes nailed – Joseph and Mary, Shepherd’s, animals, angel and even a fantastic gold star (no need for those card sandwich board style DIY jobs) and the best part is they are all under £12.
I picked Miss M up a King outfit and she’s tried it on and been practising her line “I’ve bought Gold” everyday – too cute! Anyway, to take the stress out of nativity fancy dress I have teamed up with George at Adsa to giveaway one costume of your choice.
** All I’m asking you to do is leave a comment on this post and one other from my archive before Sunday 5th December 2016 and I will randomly pick a winner on the next day (Monday) so I can get the outfit shipped out to you ASAP **
If you follow me here or on Intsagram then you may know that I have been freelancing at VERY magazine a few days a week. Besides this, I also work for other magazines and this month I’m really excited to see my beauty pages featured in Baby London magazine.
I pitched them a few ideas and they wanted me to put together these 2 pages – one about fast beauty fixes for mum’s and another on products mum and baby can share. I love doing these sort of pages as it really gives me a chance to recommend brands that I love and use myself – but also I still get a thrill seeing my work published in a magazine.
Yes – even after all these years. Here’s a little peek at them…
No – not that kind of drinking…..
My tea drinking. It literally knows no bounds when I’m working from home or in the office. Treating myself to a new mug seemed to only thing to do.
And, I just love the mug designs from Joules. Heres the one I chose – LOVE!
