I do love kids fashion collaborations – and this season there’s seems to have been a massive wave of them.
The partnering of the two well-known designers or brands means you can get something truly unique, a limited piece or just something a little bit more fun than usual.
Here is a run down of my favourite kids fashion collaborations hitting the high street and online now or coming soon.
These special fashion collaborations for babies and kids are not to be missed so I suggest you make a note in your diary…
WHO: Cath Kidston and Winnie the Pooh
WHAT: #DisneyXCathKidston #WinniethePoohXCathKidston
WHERE: Cath Kidston – in selected stores and online
WHEN: now
The first of two special Disney collaborations from Cath Kidston. First up is Winnie the Pooh to coincide with the 90th anniversary of when the first book written by AA Milne was published. Weaving in original character illustrations of Pooh, his friends and the 100-acre wood and integrated into iconic CK patterns like its ditsy florals, bold polka dots (standing in for Pooh balloons) and using the brands more muted colours.
Although the collection covers womenswear, homeware, digital wallpapers and bags – it’s the baby and kids that really stands out as the must-have pieces. Babygrows, soft toys, dinnerware and blankets featuring the lovable bear in a new guise.
Look out for the second Disney collab featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse nearer to Christmas (more on here soon).
WHO: River Island Mini and Julia Restoin Roitfeld
WHAT: #RIMiniXJuliaRoitfeld
WHERE: River Island – in selected stores and online
WHEN: this week
The first ever collaboration for the River Island Mini collection and it’s a good one. Teaming up with Julia Restoin Roitfeld – all round fashion icon, mum of one, stylish daughter of ex-French Vogue editor Carine and founder of the Romy & the Bunnies website and blog no less.
Julia brings her own sharp sense of personal style – think iconic Parisian chic meets American vintage style – to the 30-piece collection that takes a nod from her own family photo archives from the eighties with cool knits, workwear denim, headscarfs, Victoriana blouses, bomber jackets and classic Breton stripes.
WHO: Tobias & the Bear and Mr Men Little Miss
WHAT: #TobiasandtheBearXMrMen
WHERE: Tobias & the Bear
WHEN: Nov 1st
Tobias & the Bear took inspiration directly from the vintage Mr Men and Little Miss artworks to create this retro-influenced collection.
Kids will love the bold new prints featuring the iconic big personalities of the characters like Mr Lazy and Mr Dreamy, black & white comic stripe style prints and even the 1970’s TV title graphics as much as us nostalgic parents.
This collab also coincides with this years 45th anniversary of the Mr Men and 35th anniversary Little Miss books written by Roger Hargreaves.
WHO: Marks & Spencer and Marie Chantal
WHAT: #MarieChantalforMarks
WHERE: Marks & Spencer – selected stores and online
WHEN: Nov 1st
M&S has teamed up with Princess Marie Chantal – designer, mother of 5 and founder of the luxury childrens wear label of the same name to produce a stunning baby and kids collection.
Strongly influenced by the Marie Chantal signature of luxury fabrics, elegant detailing and nostalgic designs – but with a Marks & Spencer price tag.
The 33-piece collection features clothing, accessories and gifting for newborns to 5 years in a soft muted colour palette that will look great on both boys and girls.
I love all of these!!! How cute are the M&S things for toddlers though?! Love! x
I’m literally obsessed by the Marie Chantal for M&S range. Everything in the collection is just so beautiful.
These are some great collabs! I especially like the Cath kidson x Winnie the Pooh/Disney in definetly going to look out for these x
