Welcome to #mamamondays. Here I try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you too – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really is making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…

Before I had a child I thought nothing of a weekly DIY spa at home – you know when you locked yourself in the bathroom with scrubs, masks and all that jazz.
Nowadays, I’m lucky if I can even get into the bathroom by myself – let alone have 10 minutes to sit with a mask on. So, when Green People asked if I wanted to try the Beauty Boost Skin Restore – radiance boosting rescue cream for all ages – I could literally feel my skin getting brighter.
I mean who could resist an organic beauty cream rich in antioxidants that provides ‘all the magic of a facial in one luxury treatment’? SOLD.
Beauty Boost is a fuss-free treatment cream that you use weekly in place of a standard clay mask. Not only does this save time as it’s a leave-on product – meaning no washing off. There is also no mess or waiting for it to dry. Genius.
I mean what could be more perfect for time poor mums? You just massage in a pea-sized amount after cleaning and exfoliating (if you’ve managed that much) twice a week or whenever your skin needs a boost.
I have been trying this for a few weeks now and my skin feels plumper, less ‘creased’ and a little fresher – in fact I’ve managed to use less foundation than normal and even *whisper* gone bare faced a few times.
I can’t recommend this highly enough.
A 50ml tube costs £18.50 – but if you pre-order (as its launches on this Thursday 7th April) you can get 10% off. I say stock up mamas!
SLEEPING
OK, maybe not the toddler. But, her bed sure looks inviting after we were sent some beautiful new bedlinen from CMYK Living.
CMYK Living is a new collection for kids nurseries and bedrooms using the ancient Indian art of block printing in all its designs. The prints also include traditional Tuk-Tuks, Lotus flowers (below) and Col Haiti jungle Elephants
Founded by Sarika Sharma – a graphic designer living in India – and inspired by her cultural heritage and India’s textile traditions she has designed each piece to be block-printed by hand meaning no two pieces are the same.
Although they’re not patterns I would normally have chosen for Miss Marnie’s room from looking online – our Col Hathis set in the flesh is just beautiful, the colours are vibrant yet soft , unique and a welcome addition to her toddler bed.
The duvet covers are made from 300 thread-count Cambric (which is a lightweight, closely woven plain cotton cloth) and features a reversible pattern that contrasts with the sheets and pillowcases. These are made with Percale – which really does help it get softer after every wash. The range also includes cushions, quilts and Dohars – Indian summer blankets made up of 3 layers of cotton muslin.
Fancy getting your hands on a CMYK Living set of your own? Then enter my competition below to win a Col Hathis duvet, fitted sheet and pillowcase.
