When we first moved into our home the living room proved to be the easiest to decorate.
Some specially fitted bookshelves, a small plaster job and quick re-paint meant we could save our cash for the bigger jobs (hello ‘money pit’ kitchen) – but it also meant that I didn’t really give much thought to the ‘look’.
The colour was pretty much governed by our curtains from our previous flat – as they had cost an arm and a leg – and they fitted the new windows so seemed a waste to change them.
I still love them – thankfully. But, if I’m honest it would have been nice to start afresh and plan a whole new colour scheme.
Maybe because I’m having a bit of a grey moment. Isn’t everybody?
As I love how it can be mixed with up-to-date shades and more subtle hues to create a fresh look. I’ve noticed a lot of blush tones around at the moment – and pink is not normally a colour I would think of for a grown-up lounge.
But, it works especially well when mixed with this seasons continuing love of rose golds and coppers.
If I can’t have a new front room in real life then I can sure make up a dream wish list on here – can’t I?

When we first started to do our lounge I was adamant I wanted a grey couch just like that one. We ended up with a brown leather one which has been hammered by the kids so it is a good job, but now it is time to change so maybe I can get it now!
Love this look, i'm going to be faced with a very blank canvas very soon & a bit overwhelmed by it tbh!! x
Love a bit of pink with grey. We have some pink cushions. They make me feel springy.
I love grey couches! They look so nice with a pop of colour on them. I wish we could have nice things in our living room but until those boys are a little older I have no chance 🙂
LOVE this! I think that grey is so understated and not only love it in my home I love it in outfits too. I particularly love to team it with yellow. Yellow isn't my colour but I love it all the same and find grey to be a happy mediator xXx
Love the grey colour scheme. The pink accents are gorgeous. I'd quite like some grey chevron cushions too x
Such a gorgeous colour scheme. I think the grey with blush pink accessories is stunning. Hopefully, when we eventually get round to decorating our living room then this is a colour palette that we could use. Great choices too. I love the chair and that rug from Next is amazing value. Hugs Lucy xxxx
