Fuerteventura Botanical Garden |
I am a plant killer. As hard as I try I haven’t in all my years been able to keep a plant alive.
I have even killed the ‘unkillable’ Cactus. Yes, I am that person.
Before resigning myself to plastic foliage I thought I would give the much Instagrammed Succulents a try.
My (still alive) Succulent plant…on Instagram |
So far, so good. I have yet to send them to plant heaven.
Really though I was inspired after our recent holiday to Fuerteventura where we saw the beautiful Botanical Garden (part of the Oasis Park) which has over 2,000 varieties of cactus – who knew?
Seems the humble cactus is having a moment as I’ve spotted them on the high street too. Perfect for tapping into this season Mexican kids fashion trend.

Absolutely loving that cactus vase! No idea how you managed to kill a cactus though, that must take skill
