Welcome to my first #mamamondays of 2016. Here I try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you too – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…
THANKFUL
I think it’s so important to send thank you notes.
Old fashioned it may be and more time-consuming than a text or email but really is there anything better than receiving a hand written card or letter in the post?
I don’t think so. That’s why I have started Miss M young with her thank you cards. After Christmas, her birthday and even Easter I ensure something goes in the post to family and friends to show how thoughtful their gift was and how appreciated it is.
Sometimes I buy a pack of ready made cards but more often than not I make some by sticking an up-to-date picture on some simple plain cards. Easy, quick and a little more personal too.
This year I tried out the retro prints from Photobox – love the square prints in the style of vintage Polaroids. They cost from £9.99 and come in a special magnetically sealed keepsake box.
RE-DISCOVERING
Mamas & Papas. Yes, I have been heading back into M&P.
Avoiding the baby and pushchair areas and heading straight to the fashion section to check out their fab new collections.
Miss M and I had a little trolley dash before Christmas and now the pieces finally fit – and have become some of her most worn items this winter. This navy swing blouse is my personal fave.
If you haven’t been in Mamas & Papas for a while – take another look? They have lots of exciting and exclusive collection launching this Spring…
Watch this space.

ORGANISING
I love a diary.
Yes! I know I can put all my meeting, deadlines, to do lists and stuff in my phone but there is something satisfying about writing it down. Old school. With a pen.
It takes me a little while to search out the perfect organiser as you know – you’re going to have it all year. As it needs to be practical, easy to use and stylish.
A tall order that I finally found with my Kate Spade organiser…
Here’s I come 2016.
* Mr VIB brought me this Apple iPhone 6 smart battery case which has been a godsend as my battery never seems to last (nothing to do with being on IG all day I swear!)
