Welcome to #mamamondays. Here I try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you too – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…
Do you recall your babies #bigfirsts? I was asked this by Arla Big Milk and I have to confess when I was put on the spot I had a bit of a memory lapse!
Funny isn’t it how at the time each first milestone feels like such a big event? You take photos, make videos and even fill in that baby book. But, a few (toddler) years down the line and you can’t recall what they had for lunch let alone their first word.
I was put on the spot when Arla filmed me and lots of other bloggers at Blogfest (a blogging conference organised by Mumsnet) – but thankfully after texting the husband and mentally trying to
re-read her baby book I remembered that Miss M’s first word wasn’t dada or mama but… “UH-OH”
You can watch the video below
* In case you haven’t tried Arla Big Milk it’s the only whole milk enriched with essential nutrients -Vitamin A, Vitamin D, Iron and of course calcium to support growth and development for 1-5 year olds – should hopefully help them with their memories too!
I don’t tend to change my skincare routine that much – a bit of a creature of habit that way. Plus, if something works why change it?
Guess what? I really did. My parched winter skin seemed to benefit from this cocktail of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and over the last few weeks has helped my skin look more plump, smooth and above all – no dryness at all.
The light formula and heavily aromatic scent of Rose Geranium and Sandalwood made for a mini morning wake up call too – and as there is no sticky after feel made the perfect base for makeup.
A great way to start the day even if I am applying it while on my second cuppa.
I have been using the 50ml tube twice a day for weeks – and it’s still going strong. Worth every penny of its £15.95 price tag.
Don’t judge until you’ve tried them – Boden Velvet Pom Pom Slippers (£29)
Not sure when I got so old but finally finding slippers this cosy – I don’t care. And, yes I shall be wearing them and circling the Christmas Radio Times.
