I have been posting #mamamondays for a few months now and I always try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…
Chessington World of Adventures. I haven’t been to Chessington in years – and never with Miss Marnie so it was great to go along to see what they had in store for Halloween – or Howl’o’ween as they’ve called it.
Chessington has a special spook-tactular event running this half term and until Nov 2nd – involving rides in the dark (as park is open until 8pm), a trick or treat wood for the younger kids and lots of themed actives including a fancy dress competition.
We headed over for a special preview and although a lot of the rides were a too big for Miss M (we visited the Wild Asia part) the Trick or Treat Wood was a massive hit.
Beautiful executed the woods are full of lights, pumpkins and little surprises along the way. Good fairies and naughty goblins – just watch out for that spooky tree!
Miss M went as a cat – of course.
Defo worth a visit – ad they have great overnight packages still available too.

Love a collaboration. And, how about this one?

Sort of. What I have been up to is designing some wellingtons for Joules – and you can too.
Joules have a great competition going on at the moment where all you have to do is design a classic Joules welly (and easier than you think – as its all set up for you to computer design your style) – and submit your entry.
It’s so easy its a bit like one of those colouring apps your kids must have – its also a little additive – as you can play around with your own drawings too
Joules wellingtons are so iconic can you imagine designing a pair and the winning wellington actually going on sale at Joules? Not only that all the proceeds from the sale of the winning wellington will go to charity. And, if that not enough to entice you how how the prizes up for grabs?
First prize is a luxury 3-night break (worth £5,000) in a Golden Oak Treehouse cabin with Forest Holidays. Plus 10 runner up prizes of £250 Joules vouchers.* And, of course being able to say you are a footwear designer!
What are you waiting for? Plus you can enter up to five times from the same email address until closing date of 4th December 2015.
* For full T&C see Joules website.
I'm definitely going to enter the Joules comp, the prizes are amazing! I was browsing in there this week actually and eyeing up a pair of their wellies but would rather design my own pair! I also love the Smallable collection, anything with ears and/or a face and I'm there!! xx Julia @ Rainbeaubelle
