Welcome back to #mamamondays for the last few months now I’ve been trying to brighten up Mondays with anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you. And, I have to say it’s really making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day by thinking about it as a fresh start every week.
So far it’s been anything from what we’re doing or planning to do, what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying – and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you too…
Today is the DAY.

Miss Marnie’s shoe collection is fast overtaking mine. When she was first walking I kinda made a pact with myself to only get her one pair of shoes at a time and let here wear them until she outgrew them and then get a new pair.
My thinking was that babies and toddlers feet grow so fast that it was ‘wasteful’ and not to mention expensive to have lots of shoes sitting around that may not even get worn.
Fast forward a year or so and not only my own advice has been thrown out the window – but Miss M’s shoe collection requires it’s own basket in the hallway.
There’s her Converse All Stars for playtime, her favourite Marks & Spencer Walkmates for nursery and her beloved ‘mini me’ sandals from Mothercare.
So, when our lovely friends at A Piedi offered to send us some shoes from their newly launched collection – could we refuse?
Of course not, and I mean how gorgeous are these grey snakeskin ribbon flats flats? A Piedi is famed for its luxury, hand-crafted and chic flat shoes and sandals – so it was inevitable that a mini collection was to follow.
The Belle Collection launches this month – and you can view the full collection at A Piedi.
|COCO Grey Snakeskin Effect Leather Ballet Flats with Detachable Rose Ribbon from £59|
Tonight I will be tuning into Jamie’s Superfood at 8pm on Channel 4. I am a bit of a sucker for any new cookery show and especially one by Jamie Oliver and this one is the companion to, of course his new book Everyday Superfood.
You know that Autumn is setting in when there is a whole host of new cookbooks and TV shows to curl-up with. And, there seems to a full scale turn from comfort food and frugal eating to healthy eating. But, with a much more simple approach on superfoods to generally more mindful eating.
I’m calling it the *Ella Effect* (if you’ve been under a rock you will have missed the sensational that is Ella Woodward a.k.a Deliciously Ella – a food blogger, author and general positive eating guru) as a whole host of cookbooks by my most favourite chefs and home cooks have been released and all with a common healthy theme…
