Welcome to #mamamondays… Blogging conferences, Illustrations and the MADS (again!)

Continuing with my regular post which will include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you – even though it’s Monday.

It will be anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. Items I’m lusting after or buying to anything else that inspires to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.

LEARNING


The last couple of weekends have seen me attend some Blogging conferences – yes, it’s a little geeky but, its also great fun! You get to meet other bloggers, be inspired, learn and basically come away wanting to up your game a little.

I have a few changes in mind for mamasVIB and as soon as I can get my head around my notes and find some time for a little re-design, re-shuffle and re-boot I will do it. So watch this space!

This is now my new blogging motto…

LOVING

I’m a big fan of Instagram – as you may know. So, when one morning I was casually going through my feed and spotted a chance to grab one of 25 custom illustrations from one of my fave IG’ers I was so happy.

Love Cynthia is a talented illustrator in Paris and her cute sketches (and feed) are loved by over 36K people. Basically, she was offering a certain number of custom drawings for a small price.

But, what was so amazing was the money from these sketches was going to be enough to help send 1 kid to school in the Philippines for a year.

What a brilliant and charitable idea? I think Cynthia’s #doodleswithapurpose idea may well have gone on to send several kids to school now too.

These are only less than half of the illustrations I did last weekend for #doodleswithapurpose! My time, talent and effort + your 20euros/23usd = 1 year school for a kid ❤️ Oh yes! Imagine that! Thank you all for being awesome! It was really a pleasure creating something for you, with a good cause! We made it! We’ll be sending Kid # 1 to a good school! *high five* THANK YOU! ❤️

I, of course opted for a sketch of Miss Marnie (although I kinda wish I had been braver and sent my pict!) This is the result…how amazing is it going to look on some stationary, invites or thank you cards.
