Continuing with my new regular post which will include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you – even though it’s Monday.
It will be anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. Items I’m lusting after or buying to anything else that inspires to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
Step forward #mamamondays
Well technically we will be watching tonight. As Miss Marnie and I are eagerly awaiting the launch of Puffin Rock at 6.30pm on Nickjr this evening.
Puffin Rock is a new pre-school show aimed at 2-5years old with nature and wildlife at the heart of the show – with a beautiful vintage looking visual style too. Stars of the show are puffling pair Oona and her little brother Baba.
Just as every day is an adventure for toddlers – it is for these puffins too. As each episode see the pair, their family and friends learning about the world around them with a few mis-haps and fun in-between.
Set on a beautiful and wild island off the coat of Ireland. It’s also narrated by Chris O’ Dowd (from Bridesmaids and The IT Crowd).
So, to celebrate the launch I have searched out some Puffin pieces for you and your little ones:
T-shirt £12 Fat Face at John Lewis || Puffin figure £3.43 Schleich || Bib £16.95 Zazzle || Puffin Peter by Peter Horacek £5.99 Amazon || Plate £17.50 Jersey Pottery || Needle felted puffins 318.95 (for decoration only, not a toy) £18.95 notonthehightstreet || Puffin keychain £3.90 Zazzle || Soft toy
£13.50 Hansa || Cushion £30 Hunkydory Home ||
And, its clearly set to be a trend as spotted this lovely dress at the Boden Autumn/Winter press show (available in August)
Having just taken the sides down on Miss M’s cot – it’s proved to me how great cot beds are. I mean you can make the swap relatively quickly, easily and without too much hassle.
And, its a great way to ‘test’ the waters before you buy a big bed (that you have to build, make room for and buy a whole new set of bedlinen for!)
We will get round to buying a bed but for now we’re happy keeping the ‘cot’ for a little longer.
If you’re in the market for a new cot bed then I am currently ‘lusting’ after this Carnaby cot bed (which currently has £100 off) – such a cool metal frame style and in a very on-trend turquoise shade.
Carnaby metal cot-bed £299 (currently £199) Mothercare
How gorgeous? And, means you add a fresh look to any kids room like these I’ve pinned here…

After a recent look through my camera roll I realised – although I take lots of pictures (as most bloggers do) they are mainly of Miss M – and I’m hardly in them.
Not that I’m suddenly going to start snapping away #selfies – I personally find them quite difficult as hate having my picture taken (ever the stylist love to be behind the camera) – I realised I needed to put myself in the frame for Miss M.
I have very few picts of me with my parents – my mum also hates having her photo taken – and it makes me a little sad that as I don’t want the days and years to pass without a few more family shots.
Here’s one from the weekend – and yes, I need to get better at this!
