Carrie loved her shoes in Sex and the City |
Who doesn’t love shoes?
I mean no matter what – when you get up in the morning your favourite shoes always fit no matter how much your ate the night/week before. We’ve all seen the joke cards, the Pinterest pins about how ‘women love shoes’ and can probably remember the colour/style of Carries’ heels in Sex and The City over her various boyfriends names.
I myself have a slight addiction – who doesn’t? In the last few months alone I have brought the Boden jewelled flats and this seasons must-have heels, some Stan Smith trainers and a pair of ankle boots from River Island.
As much as I would love to say I buy designer shoes – I rarely do. For one I can’t afford them and secondly I really can’t justify having ‘shoes just for best.’
The last pair of designer shoes I brought were for my wedding in 2010. These beauties are safety stored away ready for there next outing (failing that for Miss Marnie – if she happens to be a size 5!) – and were really a treat as my dress cost soooo much less than they did!

My weeding heels: Christian Louboutin ‘Madame Butterfly’ pumps |
As much as I would love to just wear them- and I know I should – they are really, really high. And, I’m not sure if its because of a pregnancy/maternity and my new freelance life that I can really only bear flats now. Last summer some designer flats kept popping up on my Instagram feed, in magazines and on the feet of stylish fashion editors I had spotted at various events.
I mean these Aquazzura ‘Belgravia’ and Aquazzura ‘Christy’ lace-up flats are both gorgeous but the £400+ price tags not so much. And, now the new Isabel Marant ‘Leo’ Flats are giving them a run for its money too – even at £350. But, alias all way out of my budget.

These lovely lace-up flats are definitely sexy! I always drool at some designer shoes but just find it too much to spend $400++ on something that I will step on the muddy pavement!

With regards to shoes, I am an extremely computed customer. I infrequently (if at any time) go shopping without an arrangement. I do a considerable measure of exploration on solace and wear before really putting resources into a couple of shoes.
Ooh, bought a couple of pairs of these (I have it in black and snakeskin) and love it! It is so comfortable to wear and pair with everything!
