I have never really been a boot girl – partly because I can never find any that I like and mainly because I also find them a little uncomfortable. Well, all that changed when the lovely people at Air & Grace got in touch and asked if I wanted to try a pair of their boots with its ‘Tender Loving Air’® technology – or in real terms ‘ a shoe feels like a trainer wrapped up in a fashion shoe’ – YES! please.
I chose the Coachella – the perfect combination of soft black leather, contrast wood stacked heel and the funky side zip. It’s seems I was in good company too as I’ve spotted this style on some fellow stylish mamas too…
Stylish mamas in their Coachellas:

Could these be the ultimate mama must-have? I mean just cause we’re mums doesn’t mean we don’t want to feel and look good -and we all know the power of a new shoe!
To really put them to the test I have been wearing them for a little while before writing this. I have worn them out on appointments in town (no taxi’s were required), on the nursery run, on a night out with the girls and I’ve even braved them on holiday last week in Disneyland Paris! Ordinarily, I wouldn’t of attempted a newish shoe or boot for a holiday – but this was the ultimate comfort test….and I am glad to say Air & Grace passed!
The secret is in the triple layer of memory foam cushioning that is stylishly hidden away- so you get all the comfort without it hindering the style. The supple leather, toe room (so important in a boot – nothing worse than crunched toes) and the fact that they didn’t need ‘wearing in’ at all – in fact they felt like my ‘old favourites from the first wear.
It’s makes sense when you realise the brilliant lady behind this new British label has worked at Aldo, Kurt Geiger, Office and Fit-Flop – phew! Yes, Claire Burrows knows her stuff and she really hit on the fact that us women have lots (!) of shoes and hardly wear any of them – because they are just too uncomfortable.
With Air & Grace Claire wanted to create shoes that women love and want to wear – and can I just say it has worked. Now at £195 – I admit they aren’t cheap. But, surely one pair of boots that you love rather than several pairs that you like/hurt/aren’t quite right – they are an investment.
If you could try these on in a shop I promise you would snap them up no question (whatever the price tag). So buy online with confidence – you’ll be glad you did! In fact mine haven’t been back in box since I’ve had them. A true testament of shoes that won’t be gathering dust at the back go the wardrobe (and that’s not just because Miss M has stuffed all her toys inside).
V. I. BE HONEST: I was sent these lovely boots for my fashion opinion – and to prove practical can be stylish!
Lovely boots. I've been thinking about getting a pair. I just might in the autumn.
I really would – they are a dream to wear and I am very picky about my shoes!
