Today, I am starting a new regular post which will include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you to some degree – even though it’s a Monday.
It will be anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. Items I’m lusting after or buying to anything else that inspires to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable for us all.
Step forward #mamamondays
WORKING…
After working over 15 years in magazines you wouldn’t think I would get so excited to see new work – but, really I do. More so now I’m freelance.
This month I am super proud to be in Gurgle Magazine. Where I have complied a 4-page kids trends special. I love nothing better than a themed page (as you probably already know if you’re a regular mamasVIB reader). So, this was right up my street.
Be sure to pick up a copy – as the whole magazine has had a little makeover and I really think this is one of the best modern mums magazine out there – and you can swot up on the key spring trends for the Little’s or take a sneaky peak HERE.
WATCHING…
Miss M is a Peppa Pig fan. Super fan. As much as I have tried to encourage her to watch other shows – it always comes back to Peppa. So, I am super excited (for her you understand!) that we have tickets booked to see the debut movie.
Peppa Pig ‘The Golden Boots’ is the first feature film for the little piggy and will be a toddler-friendly 15 minutes long. The Golden Boots sees Peppa go across land, sea and even into space to find her missing boots before the big puddle jumping competition.
The movie was premiered yesterday in Leicester Square in London and will only be in the cinema during half term week (from 14th Feb). The total time is an hour as it will be bulked out with 9 classic ‘peppasodes’ too.
You can watch the trailer here:
And, visit the Facebook page to book tickets.
SLEEPING…
After being home at my mums for over a month – its been a bit of a struggle getting Miss M back into a bedtime routine. She was getting used to staying up late, sleeping in with me and having family around meaning extra ‘play’ partners.
So, after being sent the Johnson’s Baby Bedtime set we’ve been testing its suggested 3-step sleep routine. These are bath, massage and quiet time – to help make for a better nights sleep.

Johnson’s Baby Bedtime range from £2.25 |
They say it works in only 7 days – and although I think it’s taking a little longer to work on Miss M – the ‘routine’ element and the lovely lavender scent are helping (after the usual cries for story, drink, blanket, drink…) make night times a little calmer and easier.
Anything is worth a try, right? Read more HERE.
HAPPY MONDAY EVERYONE!
We love Peppa Pig in this house and are looking forward to seeing the film over half term too! Well done on your freelance work that all sounds pretty amazing xxx
