Done all your wrapping yet? Top marks to you. I am still waiting on Internet shopping to arrive, doing last minute dashes into town and trying to find the paper I brought in the January sales.
Since having Miss Marnie my Christmas prep has slipped a little – but one thing I won’t let slip is my wrapping. I LOVE wrapping gifts. Seriously…it one of my favourite things. So much so that a old colleague of mine even brought me this book.
We had a mutual love of gift wrapping, stationary and yes tying the perfect bow. One year I had to describe over the phone – whilst she was on a Christmas shoot how to tie a bow – if anyone had overheard us they would of thought we were a Martha Stewart SOS helpline!
Anyway, back to wrapping. It was this picture from Oh Happy Fry on Instagram that inspired this post. I mean how chic and simple?
Brown paper wrapping has always been a favourite of mine. But, you need to jazz it up a little – right?
So, thanks to Pinterest here’s some stylish ways to do just that. I have specially chosen these ones because not only do they look great (of course) but they are super simple too. As, I know how time pressed us mamas are – hell, they are so simple you could even rope the kids in and call it Christmas Crafts!

TIP: Why not use those left over Christmas picts, new baby images, magazine images or even match picture on front to the recipient?
** And, if you still have any brown paper left over. I love this idea for the kids dinner table. Used as a makeshift table cloth you can hand draw place settings and then after dinner throw it in the recycling bin.

Hello. I love wrapping presents in brown paper with ribbon. It always seems so stylish. I love the ideas here especially the festive scented wrapping paper and the table cloth for the kids. A lovely post. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
WOW! Everything looks fantastic! Love this! 🙂 Simple yet so effective. Jess x
I know – I wish I could take credit for all the ideas but Pinterest is so inspiring and love sharing other peoples fab ideas.
Love, love, love this post Bon! I love wrapping presents too, as long as I can do it in peace, of an evening, with a Christmas film on and a baileys 🙂 The gift tags from M&S are a great idea and I've already had some IG prints done to add to the front of presents xx
