Night Before the The Night Before Christmas by Natasha Wing £2.54

The classic ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ Poem by Clement Clark Moore is given a modern and funny twist suitable for little ones. With burnt cookies, mummy’s flu and running out of bulbs for the tree you’ll have to read on to see if the Christmas spirit wins out in the end. Fab illustrations too.

Mrs Christmas by Penny Ives £4.63

So, what is all of the Christmas eve deliveries had to be organised by a woman? When Mr Christmas and his reindeer’s are all unwell that’s exactly what happens and all in Mrs Chritsmas’s own unique way.

The Great Reindeer Rebellion by Lisa Trumbauer £5.99

There is trouble up North as Santa’s reindeer’s are all going on strike so he has to audition a whole host of other animals to great mayhem and laughs. This is another twist on ‘The night before Christmas’

Alfie: Alfie’s Christmas by Shirley Hughes £3.49

Nostalgic, gentle and cosy – not much happens in this little story of Alfie and Annie Rose but that’s the beauty. Just a beautiful book about the run up to Christmas without all the hype, presents and craziness. Prefect bedtime or quite time reading.

The Empty Stocking by Richard Curtis and Rebecca Cobb £5.99

This witty and feel good book is great for younger children as it’s a great little story about teaching right and wrong. Starring twin sisters Charlie and Sam and a little Christmas mix-up. Written by film director Richard Curtis (Notting Hill, Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral..) you can except everything to be alright in the end!
