Inspired by New York Fashion week and the other three fashion capitals I’ve spoken to some hip mamas who have revealed their favourite places and secret spots of interest for a fun and fashionable days out with the kids.
Some you may be lucky enough to have been too these cites or live near them, for others it may just be ideas to keep for future holidays and trips. Either way you will be one step ahead of the fashion-crowd just knowing these hot addresses!

1) Piers 1-6, Brooklyn Heights
Brooklyn Bridge Park has the best free outdoor activities including a water rock pool, cool play park with the best climbing frames and roller skating. And, don’t miss Jane’s Carousel in the Dumbo section – it has the best views!

2) Natural History Museum, Central Park West & 79th Street
They actually do sleep overs just like the film ‘Night at the Museum’ – Honor is a little young for this at the mo but what a fabulous treat?

3) Central Park Zoo, 64th Street & 5th Ave
Can you believe we’ve lived in New York for over 6 years and never actually been here! – but, it’s meant to be fab – and, it’s on our list. There is a snow leopard, penguins, polar bears, a sea lion pool and even a 4D theatre.

4) Shake Shack, various locations
Shake Shack started as a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park and now has several locations across the city. Famous for its ‘roadside burgers’, hot dogs and frozen custard – I mean really what kid (and parent) doesn’t like milkshakes and hot dogs? A winner all round.

5) The Rock and Roll Playhouse, 280 Bond Street, Brooklyn
A club-come-play-centre where you can enjoy a family meal and have a dance too – there is also kids music workshops in the daytime. We also really enjoy the pop up bands all over the city at various times in the year.
