Today is Miss Marnie’s birthday! So, to kick off a week of birthday inspired posts I’ve rounded up some books all about…BIRTHDAYS!

I have chosen a few classic titles and a few fun character driven ones… each would make a great gift for any little girl or boy celebrating their special day.

First published in 1959 this zany tale of all the crazy thing kids get up to on their birthdays in the imaginary land of Katroo. As mad as it sounds – a great choice for lovers of Dr. Seuss.

Miffy’s Birthday by Dick Bruna £5.99

This is the first Miffy book that I brought Miss Marnie – and it tells the story of Miff’s birthday, her lovely floral dress and the special surprise from grandma and grandpa bunny. A true classic for every bookshelf.
