Why your next denim purchase will not be JEANS….
But, Dungarees. They’ve had a bad wrap in the past and I admit there’s still a part of me that cringes when I see them in the maternity section – but, that’s all set to change as the 1980’s overall have had an fashion ‘overhaul’.

As this season dungarees are BIG news! And, is the one denim piece that is going to refresh your wardrobe in an instant. Don’t believe me?
Then take your cue from these stylish celebrities. Sarah Jessica Parker has been rocking them all over NYC from school runs to appearing on The Ellen Degeneres Show in a pair.
Actress Diane Kruger has been sporting hers with nude accessories and of course fashionista Alexa Chung was spotted in a some overalls too. See her arriving at the airport – wearing them with a classic trench and pumps – very chic!

Whether you plan to wear them with your bump – the shapes are so much better now and much more flattering (see top). Or, maybe your throwing them on as a new mama – and why not? – they are practical, easy wearing and just the ticket for play dates or nursing.
The one unwritten rule is ROLL THEM UP or do big turn-ups.
But, my preferred choice is popping them on your little one – and that’s just because I would look really terrible in them but maybe I have just talked myself into a pair!
Just perfect for boys and girls they look great with everything from tees, sweatshirts, vests, wellingtons, pumps, sandals…
I also think its because there’s something so nostalgic about seeing little kids in them (I’m a child of the 70’s/80’s and they were the must-have item then too!) I guess they make children look like children – sweet, innocent and playful.
These bib-jeans also make playtime dressing a doddle as they’re hard-wearing, easy to run/jump in and most have poppers on the inside leg for fast nappy changes.

So, what do you think are dungarees a HIT or a MISS?
