Last night Miss Marnie and I went along to the Cath Kidston Safari shopping event. We actually won via Twitter. I had to tweet ‘I want to party on safari with @cathkidston’ #180Piccadilly to win two tickets. So, I tweeted and I won.
The shopping evening was at the flagship store at 180 Piccadilly – a stones throw from The Ritz, The Wolseley (one of my favourite places for breakfast and afternoon tea) and Fortnum & Mason
Miss Marnie and I popped into F&M to kill some time before we headed to the party. We had a browse around the confectionery floor – and it was full of amazing Easter eggs and she was seriously (and literally) like a kid in a candy shop running around, giggling and waving at all the chocolate bunnies!
I take that one, please…
and, a hamper for my mama!
Once I could get her out of Fortnum’s we entered the Cath Kidston wilderness to see the hot new safari print. Now if you love Cath Kidston as much as I do it’s exciting when a new print arrives as its a sure fire way to update all your vintage CK pieces.
The new print includes elephants, zebras, lions and my fave giraffes which I first featured HERE on a taupe/sandy coloured background.
After eating some old-school foam banana sweets and delicious handmade meringues from the Meringue Girls we had to tag our 3 favourite items for a chance to win them – it took us a while but we finally settled on these:
Stanley Lamp £68
Safari Round Melamine Tray £20
And, Miss Marnie’s choice…. Safari sweatshirt £25 (2-8yrs)
Miss Marnie completely won over the CK team – and even had a little dance in the safari disco! We left the store armed with goodies and after so much fun this was our commute home…
What we bought…
And, what’s more we entered a competition to win a VIP Safari Weekend for 4 people worth £1000 at Woburn Safari Park. So, fingers crossed our competition luck continues…
**You can enter the Safari competition too! You just need to pop into store and fill in the postcard with your details before 27th April 2014.
