I have a bit of an obsession with printing out photographs, making scrapbooks and filling in photo albums with memorabilia. And, it’s got a whole lot worse since Miss Marnie arrived.
I couldn’t wait to fill in a baby book – in fact I brought 2! A classic one and a more modern one from Fill & Tell. I have also made a scrapbook of her first year – and filled with each milestones, keepsakes, cards and photos. I have to admit it was a bit of a labour of love – as she was a baby it was easy to do as I fitted it around naps.
Now, Miss Marnie is a toddler I am finding this much harder to do and, of course little hands keep interfering with all my bits and bobs! So, this mini project is great for time pressed mamas as it takes minutes to do.
And, what’s more you only have to do it once a YEAR!
Basically I’m going to add a picture taken on her birthday every year until she is 18 – well that’s the plan. I figure there is always a camera out on birthdays so not to much effort required and only one image to print out.
I have used this simple Kraft scrapbook from Paperchase – it’s only £5 and it has lovely thick black pages and ties with black ribbon at the side. I added the scrabble tile nameplate to the front.
So far I have added a picture from her ‘birth’-day and her first birthday. I also like the idea of adding a family image, as it will be fun to see how we have all changed over the years.
And, how organised am I?
As thats her 18th Birthday present sorted…
