Rainbow muslins from Faye & Lou

Muslins are a mama must-have (easy clean-ups, make-shift bib, nappy table liner, swaddling, emergency towel/blanket…you get the drill) but, that doesn’t mean they have to be dull! These Faye & Lou Rainbow Muslins are a cheerful addition to every mama’s baby bag – and are so much easier to find in a bag full of neutral bibs, baby grows and nappies! What I love about them is no matter how many washes they’ve had, they have yet to fade. OK, they are expensive for what are…

Christmas pyjamas from Mothercare

I so NEED to get these skinny spot print reindeer pyjamas for Miss Marnie. It’s November – the Christmas countdown has begun! With 49 sleeps till the big day (check here on the Xmas Clock). Cooking with kids and Ella’s Kitchen

I couldn’t wait to get hold of this book – as Miss Marnie loves the Ella’s Kitchen pouches – so I wanted to see what the cookbook had to offer. Ella’s Kitchen The Cook Book The Red One has 100 recipes from weaning babies to feeding young kids. A fun-filled book that has loads of ideas, shortcuts and inspiration for mealtimes – plus they all sound super tasty. I have found cooking for Miss Marnie lots of fun, as I love seeing her…

Peepo! a classic story for toddlers

Peepo by Janet and Allan Ahlberg First Line: ‘Here’s a little baby One, Two, Three…’ First published: 1981 Follow baby from morning until bedtime as he discovers what his family are up too through a ‘peep hole’ on each page. Most books I read as a child were by The Ahlberg’s (Funny bones, Each Peach Pear Plum, Burglar Bill, Mrs Wobble the Waitress) – so, it’s lovely to introduce Miss Marnie to their world of rhymes and retro illustrations.  £5.24 Amazon

Bright Hunter Wellingtons for children

With all this rain it pays to invest in a good pair of wellingtons – and they don’t get much more stylish than Hunter. These bright yellow ‘sunlight’ ones are just the ticket to splash in muddy puddles ‘Peppa Pig’ style – even her wellies are yellow – she’s one stylish pig so it seems! Budget not stretch this far? I mean these Original Kids First wellington Boots are £32 from Hunter. Then look out for some bright coloured alternatives in Mothercare – I especially like these as they have…
