A Christmas Tale by Joules – the perfect Christmas Eve box book | V. I. BOOKCLUB

Making up a Christmas Eve box has become as much a part of my Christmas planning as the big day itself. I have been doing them for Miss Marnie for a few years now – but this year’s feels like it will be the first one she will really embrace and hopefully take in.

Maybe because we’re having our first Christmas at home – rather than going to stay with family – as I want to create some of our own lasting Christmas memories and traditions for her like I have from my own childhood.

One thing we have been doing throughout December is reading all her Christmas and wintery story books each evening – so when the lovely people at Joules sent us this special seasonal story book A Christmas Tale  – her Christmas Eve box really started to take shape. As I really wanted to include a new storybook into her box so it becomes attached to her memories of Christmas 2017.

A Christmas Tale by Joules is lovely picture book about the Crackle family on Christmas Eve and the madcap and hilarious adventures of Emily and her four pets Sausage the cat, Paul the rabbit, Molly the goose and Montague the dog.

It’s the first time Joules have published a book – and isn’t it just beautiful? – it’s been created by the copy and graphics team at Joules so you can really see the brand signature all over it. What’s more 100% of the profits go to Charitably Joules, the brands selected charities. Meaning you not only get a special book to be treasured forever but you can be assured the money is also going to some great causes this Christmastime. There is also digital version you can download too.

Besides this book I’ve popped in all the usual Christmas Eve box essentials – new pyjamas, treats, popcorn and some time-marked envelopes with puzzles, colouring pages and games inside to ensure the fun lasts all day. As one things for sure I know it will be ending with a lovely bedtime story!

V. I. BE HONEST: This post has been produced in collaboration with Joules but all words pictures and opinions are of course, my own.
