My career and blogging has brought me many things – but since having Miss Marnie one thing I really appreciate is the time we get to spend together doing new, exciting and anything but ordinary things.
We’ve been lucky to attend film premieres, meet Disney characters, take shopping trips, have afternoon tea, try some beauty treats and have even been skiing in an indoor ski centre!
So, when Not on the High Street asked us to be part of its Father’s Day campaign ‘Hang Out With Dad Day‘ I figured this was a lovely opportunity for Miss M to spend some quality time with her daddy – because isn’t time together what all dads (step-dads, carers, guardians) really want on this special day?
I know, of course the vast collection of unique gifts and personalised items is amazing on Not on The High Street – but I have to admit I never realised notonthehighstreet offered a whole host of experience gifts too.
Things like Family Kite Making to Family Walking Tour of Secret London. Mr VIB and Miss M opted for the Super Dad Creative Baking Class by BKD – with a Superheroes theme as it as the most age appropriate one for a pre-schooler.
BKD is ran by the lovely Adelle Smith who hosts fun, messy and creative classes for budding bakers across London. Providing all the decorating supplies, aprons and tuition – it means kids (and adults) can have fun icing cupcakes, rolling fondant and sprinkling with decorations – with no clear up afterwards.
So, we all headed to the uber-cool Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch, East London for the class – and Miss M spent the morning ‘hanging out with dad’ – I was there just as photographer of course.
** What’s more for Father’s Day Not on the High Street are teaming up with Little Troppers a charity that supports children that have parents in the British Armed Forces. Not on the High Street with donate 10% of sales from 9 of the experience gifts until June 19th.
Here’s how they got on:
|HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!|
V. I. BE HONEST: Special thanks to Not On The High Street and BKD London for inviting us to be part of this ‘Hang Out With Dad Day’ campaign in aid of Little Troppers. Of course all words, pictures and creations (!) are our own work.
