Welcome to #mamamondays. Here I try to include anything that is making us happy – and hopefully you too – even though it’s a Monday. And, I have to say it really making me try to make the most of this often ‘depressing’ day
It has been anything from what we’re doing or planning to what we’re eating, watching or reading. I’ve even included items I’m lusting after or buying and anything else that has been inspiring me to make Mondays – and the rest of the week if need be – just a little more bearable.
I really hope that #mamamondays is inspiring you to make the most of this fresh start we get every week…
The Peanuts Movie. I actually didn’t think I was going to get the see the new Charlie Brown movie – as I haven’t been to the cinema in ages and wasn’t sure Miss Marnie was up for a full on film in the cinema yet.
But, when a email came from the lovely people at The Cambridge Satchel Company inviting us to a special mama and mini’s screening – with a chance to see its new special bag collection to celebrate the movie – I figured why not?
Miss M has been wearing her Gap + Peanuts sweater, loving her Snoopy teddy and spotting them every time the movie trailer come on the TV – so she had a vague idea who they were. Plus as the movie is only an hour and a half – it was a good movie time test. (She was fine, sat through the movie and has not stopped chatting about it since!)
Anyway, back to the fashion. The Cambridge Satchel Company famed for -of course – their vintage style school bags – have created a special collection and special embossing stamps that mean you can choose your bag AND the peanuts motif you want. Plus every bag comes with a free Snoopy keyring.
I especially liked the 100% leather backed notepads embossed with the Peanuts gang at £15 – they would make great stocking fillers too. But, if you fancy a little ‘more is more’ Peanuts…
Here are a few of my fave finds to stock on up before the movie release on Monday 21st December.

I have really been trying to get into the Christmas spirit – anyone who knows me will know I LOVE Christmas. But, if you’ve read this post you’ll know its not something I’m looking forward to this year.
But, having a kid sure helps to realise no matter how sad you’re feeling they still need normality…and to feel the magic of Christmas.
Even though we have no tree up we have fully embraced the Elf on The Shelf. Some love it and some hate it. I don’t care. It makes Miss M happy and that’s all that matters.
She had been so excited looking for it each morning and loving the idea that Pumpkin (our elf) is seeing Father Christmas every night.
I am rather enjoying dressing her up – and even went as far as getting Elf on the Shelf clothes shipped from the USA – I’m not doing so well at the ‘fun’ places but Miss M doesn’t seem to care – just her moving around the house has been enough.
Maybe next year I will be more inventive. But, for now I’m doing my best. And, to my 3 year old that goods enough.
This year one of my favourite jobs has been compiling the Gurgle fashion pages. I genuinely get really excited when the layouts come into my inbox for me to write up the credits and prices.
I have a couple more features coming out in Gurgle in the new year too – which of course I will share with you (sorry if that is boring!) but I just love showing off them as I think Gurgle is one of – if not the best mums magazine around – its modern, real and doesn’t judge ANY mums (even the celebrity ones!)
My most recent piece was a kids party edit…. if you’re still looking for a party outfit for your little ones then check it out there is 7-pages so there’s bound to be something you’ll like!
