It’s kinda a rite of passage that you will head to Clarks to get your little ones first shoes right Thought so… It’s where we went to get Miss Marnie’s first pair of pre-walkers – and second pair come to think of it.
It goes with saying that getting those tiny feet measured correctly is as important as that milestone picture. But, it look like Clarks are wanting you to head in to get those pre-first baby shoes too…with the launch of Clarks Baby.
Clarks Baby is a fabulous new collection of pram shoes for newborns up to 9 months. OK, so they’re technically not a necessity. But they are so darn cute.
The new range of shoes and booties include Baby Cuddle (Moccasin boots), Baby Harper (Mary-Jane style), Baby Warm (desert lace booties) and Baby Sleep (soft slipper styles) all made from the softest leathers to allow babies feet to breathe, wiggle and of course grow without restriction.
They all come in 3 sizes: small (0-3mths) , medium (3-6mths) and large (6-9mths) and are priced from £18-£20 and come in a little presentation box (you know how I love a gift box!) making them the perfect gift too.
Miss M had a few pairs of pram shoes. I know she didn’t need them. I knew that socks alone was OK. I knew it was an extra expense. But, I couldn’t resist.
Her first pair were red and actually belonged to me. Yes, nanny had kept them from the seventies (yes, along with everything me and my siblings ever wore) – and of course they fitted a treat. And, did I mention they were red? Gotta love a red shoe…
She also had a little bear pair from Marks & Spencer – they sure looked lovely on!
And, of course the beauty of pram shoes is that because they never set foot on the floor they always look perfect and make a great keepsake (whether I keep Miss M’s for more than 35 years is another matter…)
