|Sienna Miller in her ‘mama’ Parka|
I have never worn a Parka in my life – I’m more of a classic Trench coat kinda girl. Then I had a baby. And, pushing a pushchair in a belted Mac to the park or soft play somehow just didn’t look right.
So, I headed to Gap tried on my first Parka and haven’t looked back since.
It seems any mama worth her Bugaboo and Marc Jacobs Eliz-A-Baby bag knows a Parka is the way forward. Easy to throw on, with multi-purpose pockets for baby paraphernalia and most importantly – comfortable! I know its a bit of a unfashionable word – but believe me practical wins out in the end.
Plus, it won’t matter what you have on underneath (although it will most likely be a stripe top, jeans and converse – right?) – if you choose a good quality Parka you will always look pulled together even if you have had less than 5 minutes to get ready.
Here’s my pick of the best on the high street (in fact it might be time for a new one…)
